Our wonderful manager Morgan managed to book us a show at
Ursinus College. We played in the Wismer Lower Lounge, which was actually a pretty interesting place. The stage
was HUGE, we had tons of room. It was pretty nice!
So of course, it couldn't start without some trouble... Jaime was back and ready to go after her emergency work
trip to Seattle that caused all sorts of changes for the band (check out the recap of the Saint gig if you don't know
what we're referring to). Since we hadn't seen her in a week, we decided we needed a rehearsal before we went out
to Ursinus.
We ended up leaving for the show a little late, which meant a 4 car chain flying down the PA turnpike. We weren't
too late when we got there, and the sound guy seemed understanding.
Right before we went on, while we're setting everything up, Jaime realizes that she can't find her purse. Or her
keys. Or her makeup. Or pretty much any of the things she needs. Turns out, they're all locked in her car. Morgan
tossed Jaime her cellphone, and AAA was contacted to help save the day. They told her an hour, which would have been
past the start of our performance, but they actually got out there a right before we had to go on, so it all worked
out for Jaime - she was able to get to the necessities prior to the performance.
We were slated to play for 2 hours. We did 2 1-hour sets with a small break in between. We played pretty much
everything, all of our originals and a bunch of covers. Things went well! We definitely had a good time with the
performance, and we would play there again in a heartbeat.
So now, it's time for us to move forward and focus on the upcoming events:
- Friday, March 17th at the 449 Room (Saint Patrick's Day!)
- Saturday, April 15th at the Saint
We'll also be back in the studio again to continue our work re-recording the EP with Bang Bang, and to put down
our newer stuff.
Hopefully you can join us for some of the upcoming shows! We'll have more details about them soon.
